you know me and my datemate talk a lot about what is and isn’t okay in a relationship, especially considering that they’re asexual so I just wanted to give out a few pointers I guess 

Do’s: 

- Make them feel comfortable around you

- Know their boundaries 

- Talk about sex with them so you know how far they are willing and able to go

- Know how to stop if you start going too far

- Make them feel valid 

- Make them realize that it’s okay to feel the way that they do

- Only engage in sexual activities if they are completely okay with it; always get consent before anything else

Dont’s: 

- Don’t call them “weird” for not wanting to have sex

- Don’t force it or try to “convince” them to have sex

- Don’t overstep the boundaries they have laid out

- Never tell them that it’s just a phase and that they’ll “grow out of it” 

- Just don’t be rude in general towards how they feel 

My point is, be loving towards asexuals because what they’re feeling is valid and true. Some are okay with sex, some are sex-repulsed, and you just need to talk with your partner to know what they aren’t and are comfortable with. 

Love them unconditionally.
